KENDARIAKTUAL.COM, KENDARI – Guna memantapkan persiapan tim Softball Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra) menuju PON XXI di Aceh dan Sumatera Utara September mendatang. Tim Softball Sultra melakukan Training Center (TC) dan berangkat ke Surabaya Jawa Timur, Senin (25/3/2024).
Ketua Pengurus Provinsi (Pengprov) Perserikatan Baseball dan Softball Seluruh Indonesia (Perbasasi) Sultra Pahri Yamsul mengatakan, TC yang dilaksanakan di Surabaya ini sifatnya mandiri dengan menggunakan dana dari sponsor Perbasasi Sultra.
Hal ini dilakukan ungkapnya, karena pihaknya menginginkan persiapan tim Softball Sultra benar-benar maksimal menuju PON XXI.
“Kami lebih dulu menjalankan TC mandiri di Surabaya sambil.menunggu TC yang dilaksanakan dan dibiayai oleh KONI Sultra,”jelasnya pada kendariaktual.com, Minggu (24/3/2024).
Alasan Surabaya dipilih menjadi tempat TC tuturnya, karena Surabaya memiliki banyak tim softball yang bagus. Sehingga bisa menjadi uji tanding tim Softball Sultra.
Selain itu tambahnya, TC yang dilaksanakan di Surabaya ini rencananya akan dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan. Dimana tim Softball Sultra tidak akan lagi kembali ke Kendari dan langsing berangkat ke Aceh September mendatang.
“Jumlqh atlit yang kita sertakan di Surabaya ini sebanyak 40 orang. 20 orang atlit putra dan 20 orang atlit Putri,”tuturnya.
Untuk target tim Softball Sultra tukasnya, pihaknya menargetkan disektor putri mempertahankan medali emas Pra PON dan untuk putra minimal masuk final.
